Message from the Chapter President

As we begin the 2025–2026 year, I’m honored and energized to serve as President of Ozarks AGA. This year, we will focus on advancing our profession through strong educational opportunities and meaningful networking that strengthen our collective expertise and amplify our impact. We will continue growing our community by fostering inclusion, welcoming new members, celebrating diverse voices, and ensuring everyone feels seen, supported, and valued. And as we accelerate our field by embracing new technologies such as AI and approaching challenges with fresh ideas, we will push boundaries and lead with purpose. Here’s to a year of growth, achievement, and meaningful connection!

AGA National

Founded in 1950 as the Federal Government Accountants Association, AGA was created to unite government financial professionals and promote ethical practices, accountability, and knowledge sharing. Over time, the organization expanded to include state and local financial managers, rebranding in 1975 as the Association of Government Accountants, and in 2022 simply as AGA to reflect the full spectrum of government accountability work. Today, AGA offers certifications like the CGFM®, continuing education, and programs in areas such as auditing, risk, performance management, and emerging technologies, helping members advance excellence in government finance. With over 90 local chapters and national initiatives, AGA connects, educates, and empowers professionals to strengthen transparency, integrity, and performance across all levels of government.
